Converting back to a green life, one week (and nap time) at a time

About MommyontheGreen

Mommy on the Green is a thirty-something Mom of one (now two!) who lives in the suburbs of Halifax, Nova Scotia. She studied marine biology at Dalhousie University, and taught biology at various universities in the HRM before selling her soul for stability (hours and income) and taking a job with the federal government (hence the anonymity).

Along with being a closet hippie, her other interests include writing, camping, swimming, hiking, scrapbooking, photography, and travelling.

She hopes that other young men and women, parents and non-parents, will join her in taking up some of these weekly green challenges.

And most importantly, she doesn’t always write about herself in the third person.
